Summer’s here….

…and the time is right, for dancin’ in the streets!

Hello!   It sure has been awhile for when it comes to updating this blog of mine.   Slacker I know.   But seriously, where does the time go?

I am finally writing because I just uploaded a boat load of pictures.   Have been taking a few around the house and what not, but since my last post two big events went down that required ALOT of picture taking.   The first, was I turned 40 this year.   To celebrate, Kathy and I took a trip down to the Redwoods, then off to Alcatraz, and then to see the Yanks play the A’s in Oakland.   These picture album is here.

Secondly, my sister Colleen and her fiance Scott got hitched during the first week of July.   This was a great week with lots of family and much to do.   That album is here.

Otherwise, life is just fine.   Summer is finally here and the weather has been wonderful.   I have the yard in a manageable state so I am not constantly working on it.   Currently we are researching building a garage with an apartment on top, so that down the road we can live in it and build our house.   Big plans, but what else do I have to do over the next 40 years of my life?

Until next time, I am going to leave you with a little blue bug I just happened to catch back in June (click to see a larger version and album):

Let it snow…let it snow…let it snow….

Happy 2007! Winter has struck again and Chloe loves it!

When I say winter, I mean winter as I used to remember it back in New York. The ‘Oregon’ winter, rainy and in the 40’s, has been in full swing for a while now. We were only supposed to get a few inches but it turned out to be more around 5. I celebrated by sleeping until 8 am since I knew we were going to be late getting to work. I also took a few pictures. However I just realized I already took a bunch of snowy pictures about a month ago. Oh well! Temps are due to drop and I am hoping we get iced in tomorrow morning….so maybe I will take more snowy pictures.

Gotta run…thanks for reading!

Christmas Time

Published on December 26, 2006

Hey…Happy Holidays! As I type this it is the day after Christmas. Still one holiday left to go though in the season, so it is still Happy Holidays. We had one whirlwind of a week last week but thankfully I took a few days off from work to prepare. The tree was up a the weekend before and ready to go, and also ready for Munson to treat it like a fire hydrant. Dumb dog! Kathy always reminds me that you should never get a male dog, they will pee on anything. I am now a believer. I still love the big dope though, how can I not? So the weekend finally came and we had a 3 day bash with the grandkids. Cookies were baked, candy was made, and then we didn’t even come close to putting a dent in it! Presents were wrapped. opened, and then packaged up again for the final trip to their new homes. The weekend is now officially over because I just burned all the cardboard and paper that was piled up in our shed. Tree was torched as well. It was a good tree, a Grand Fir. Here is a pic of it completed:

Not too shabby! I went for the colorful blinking light effect this year. Well I am not going to write much more. I just wanted to put something in this blog pointing to my Christmas pics and to say hello. It was a great weekend, but I am now exhausted and am glad it is over! Time to look towards 2007 I guess and say Happy New Year!

Cheers!!
